What is you opinion on coach vs first class airline tickets?
Do you think they are worth the price difference?...

DerDer

Besides first class, what can make a long flight (like to China) more comfortable for a tall person with long?

the emergency exit seats.. they done have any seats in front of them and if they do they are spaced so far ahead, you can stretch out those long legs!!

For tall/skinnies, go for behind the bulkhead or emergency exit rows. This will give you more legroom.

DOn't sweat it so much... my experience on international flights is people get up and move around some.

Sue
Sleeping pills. No matter what, coach will be very uncomfortable when you're looking at a 24 hr flight. If you're concerned about legroom, ask for an aisle seat, you can stretch your legs out sideways for some of the flight.

Oh Nooooo!
Sleeping pills and a few screwdrivers make the flight go by pretty quickly. I also don't dress to impress. I wear sweats and tshirts for those flights!

ACE
Try to reserve a seat at the first rows next to the emergency exits. There you will have more foot room. You may even get a chance to chat with the flight attendants who would be taking the seat opposite to you some time during the flight.

Suggest you take an indirect flight that offers at least two or three stopovers. That will allow you to rest at First Class lounges at all airports on the way to China and back. And ask for seats near the emergency exit and that too, aisle seats. Alternatively, you can choose a night flight which features seats in first class that can be converted to sleepers.

APART FROM BUYING SAY THREE SEATS IN A ROW ? DON'T KNOW SORRY.

yes you may request for the seat next to emergency exit, more room legs there. Some airlines now offer the economy plus (Eva, United etc.), the seat will have more room legs and the fare is lower than business and first classes.

Asa Rica
Business Class is not bad - ask for bulkhead seats in coach.

I flew from Dallas to Seoul S, Korea. A long 14 hour flight non-stop and I'm 6-3. I had to take the aisle seat. So i could stretch out. I got up about every 2 hrs just to stretch and walk around. Don't worry about people thinking your wierd. I didn't give a damn. Also like mentioned above take an e-exit. Either before or after the exit. Before you can recline the chair all the way back, after you can kick out as much as you want. Either way it sucks, just don't forget to massage your legs. SInce you will crammed into the seat in front of you, you need to lessen the chance of a blood clot.
