There are so many websites that say they can give you the best price on airfare but which one really does? Ive been to travelocity, priceline, cheaptickets, and a couple others

try these new and upcoming websites recommended in 2008 by travel and leisure magazine as best:
www.sidestep.com
www.farecompare.com
www.vayama.com (mostly for int'l travel.. some very advanced cool feature on this websites for int'l travel!)
www.kayak.com is my personal fave and i've been 10 million miles/ 33 countries all before age 33! i write u this from australia now lol.

Kayak or Hotels.com by far

here's a trick:
go to expedia, travelocity, priceline, etc and check out which airline offers the cheaperst airfare.

once you find out, liek for example, American Airlines, then go to their own website (AA) and book your ticket there.

it's normally cheaper than buying the tickets from expedia, or any other websites :)

i hope this helps :)

i prefer expedia. the always seem to have best deals. BUT, I am hearing more and more about hotwire.com and priceline.com. If you are not open to being assigned a hotel/ airline without knowing which one (hotel) or when (flight) you can probably get better deals at these sites.

Toy
cheapoair.com
I've gotten a lot of great deal going overseas.

idk i say the best places to go for airlines and hotels are the hotel/airline sites themselves bc hotwire is a complete scam, it wouldn't tell me what hotel i was booking till i booked it, and when i went to that hotels main site it was way cheaper there. and after going to other travel sites theyre usually as much or more than on the main sites. whatever you decide to do, make sure to compare.

I'd like to mount a campaign to encourage people not to go anywhere. Travel has become so expensive and unpleasant that it's hard to understand why people don't stay home.
Why are we crowding our highways and airports to get someplace else? Newspapers and magazines are filled with ads trying to get us to travel. They want us to go somewhere - anywhere but home.
