The best one's I've flown on were Cathay Pacific and Singapore Airlines, but you should check out Skytrax, the world's largest passenger opinion poll and rating's service for the airline industry, they rate every facet of the airline's service, from check-in, seats, flight attendants, baggage handling, food, in-flight entertainment, etc, etc., only five airlines in the world get a five-star rating:

I can only answer from personal experience, which is limited. I have mostly flown on US carriers, and few carriers from other parts of the world. I think Asiana Airlines based out of South Korea provided me the best flight experience. |

From the airlines I have personally flown in, it has to be KLM, but there's tons of airlines around that I haven't used, so ;)
They gave me very good service, had pleasant crew and overall gave me the best flying experience. |

Emirates. they have a tv with hundreds of channels and cool movies, they have a wide range of food, vrry well trained and friendly staff, they even have a camera on the planes nose so passengers can c what pilots do on their personal tvs! |

Virgin Atlantic, from my own experience. I've gone on many airlines and Virgin is the best. Warm & friendly from check in to leaving the aircraft, and I even chatted up a pilot once in London. |
