You can get a great book, bring some music, or watch the in-flight movie (if there is one). Also, you guys can play cards or something like that while the flight is en route. The trays that fold down to eat on would make a great table. |

The ol' standards work for me: reading a good book, listening to music, or sleeping.
Since you've got a seat-mate, you could bring a deck of cards or small travel-sized game of some sort to help pass the time as well. |

most flights have t.v.'s and a selection of inflight movies and shows to watch. so watch a couple of movies and you'll be here before you know it! |

Depends on when it is. My longest flight was 4 1/2, but I slept most of the way. Get a portable DVD player and watch movies...Sleep. Listen to music. Read. That's pretty much all you can do. |

Bring an Mp3 player or a movie player. Some people bring books and others bring like pillows and stuff for sleeping. If you are flying JetBlue, there is a TV on the back of the seat (in front of you) it's great! |

try striking a conversation with your neighbor (but make sure they arent annoyed or trying to sleep)
i have had some pretty interesting ones. i remember one with a proffesor of creative writing from Oklahoma state u. one with a newly wedded couple and they tried giving me advice and sounded all peppy (pretty funny since im 17) and one with another kid my age and we found eachother on facebook and still talk. |
