Depending on the size of the aircraft. Either sit right at the trailing edge of the wing on smaller planes or right in the middle for larger planes. Form those seats, you will be able to see the slats, flaps, ailerons, spoilers and speed brakes (if so equipped), as they are being applied.

As someone stated previously, check out seatguru.com to help you choose the right seat.

This site is very good, it gives you all the seat layouts, sizes, etc of the different plane models and airlines.

Dude... depends on the type of aircraft you're gonna fly. The best is to just ask the check-in staff to assign an overwing window seat for you to enjoy the spoilers do their work...

If you ask when booking your flight the very kind people will oblige you.

For long travel such as Philippines to the US. I prefer to sit in the middle, not in front & not the back. I hate those sits. In the middle but I want the window sides to see the view. I want also near the comfort room. I want to brush my teeth after eating & to freshen up abit. The trip is 16 hours.
However, for domestic flights or from the Philippines to Hongkong, I think I will still get the same seat.
However, if it is already my 2nd or 3rd time, the aisle will be better for me. I want better legworks. I had one best location once, near the comfort room & in the aisle with the rows infront of me abit far.

the break ?

My best window seat is Forward of the Wing, and away from the Sunny side of the craft.

Always try to get a seat on the emergency exit rows, you have much more leg room and service is better, plus a stewardess has to sit facing you on take-off and landing if you're at the side.

Thank you for being so descriptive with your question, so that I can say, "It depends on the plane model and airline"
