Better place to buy plane tickets?

Which online provider is the best to buy an airplane ticket for international travel?

hotwire. com they give you the rate your going to pay including any other fees. Other online providers make you pay other fees and things while hotwire gives you your ticket price flat out.

I have found that purchasing directly through a carrier is the most expensive. I have had much luck with www.cheaptickets.com and www.cheapseats.com . The cheapest day to book is Wednesdays for some reason.

Also, are you familar with the Entertainment Book? There are many money saving coupons in there (sometimes even for 50%) for travel. If you don't have one, you can always borrow a friend's too. Go to www.entertainmentbook.com .

like the song says "you better shop around" .. spend a few minutes visiting different sites (expedia, orbitz, kayak etc.) and you might save a few hundred bucks ... good starting point is pointandtravel.com

Scotty Doesnt Know
The best place to purchase any airline ticket is on the airline's web site. You can avoid the ticketing fees associated with purchasing via any other venue. You typically get the best price on the airline's web site, and bonus frequent flyer miles/points by booking on the airline's site too.

I have used orbitz and priceline. Priceline will get you the best deal, but you have to wait until the last minute to get those great deals. The airlines will sell off any empty seats for cheap because a low price is better than not selling the ticket. But they usually wait until a couple days before the flight to take the lowest bids.

I have had good luck with expedia. I would also try priceline.

The airlines website is always the lowest price. The best are Southwest and Jet Blue.

cheaptickets.com

Google for it. Type in your starting and destination airports and you'll get the fares from all the airlines operating on that route.

You cant get better details on any other website.

Do a search at all the major online places and see who gives you the best price. I've listed the ones I've used before. I've listed hotels.com because I think they do have airfare search as an option. You can book a hotel at the same time to save money if you're staying in a hotel

well.....diffrent ones at different times

try sidestep.com and then once its done pay attention to the otehr links on the page for cheapairfares to xyz....has worked for me in the past
