You will most likely get caught. Not that I agree with the U.S. drug policy at all but it's pretty strict.

Dont pack it in your luggage whatever you do. I heard of people actually cooking "special" brownies and bringing them along for the trip, but i guess the best way to sneak a gram or 2 to smoke , stick it up your you know just dont walk funny through security

you get caught because of the dogs. they are trained to sniff out drugs and bomb making materials. the charges, if i am not mistaken, will be either a misdemeanor or the lowest class felony.
