Can I bring a blow dryer or Hair straightener on an airplane?

You can bring those. Tons of people bring them through every day.

You can also bring nail clippers, nail files, and liquids and gels such as hair spray and liquid foundation (albeit a small amount) in your carry-on (although there are special rules about liquids and gels - you have to declare them and they all have to fit inside 1 quart sized clear plastic bag and everything in that bag has to be in containers of 3.4 ounces or less)

It's amazing to see how few people actually know what you are allowed to have in your carry-on and what you aren't.

If you have an item that you have a question about, and it isn't specifically listed on TSA's prohibited items list, then it's best to call security at the airport you'll be flying out of. They can tell you if it's allowed in your checked luggage or your carry-on. That's the best way to be absolutely sure. Calling the airline isn't always a sure-fire way of knowing 100% what you can and can't have, because rules do change, unfortunately all too often, and the airlines don't make the rules as to what can go and what can't.

Yes those are perfectly fine to bring on carryons. I do it all the time when I fly, after all who wants to pack a suitcase during this season and hope it arrives? I always carry on during all seasons.

No you can't because it's heat related. But I think it matters what plane so call them and ask.

YOu can check the internet addie for your airlines and they will have specific lists of what cannot go on a plane. Many things can actually go into the luggage that is checked in but not into hand carried bags.

Why would you need to pack these items in your carry on??

If you are going to be staying in Motels, they all have hairdryers!

Since there is no way you could use these items for any reason on board, I would not worry about haing them in your carry on if you have to.
