They may but I should try to contact TSA a head of time to see if there's some sort of special clearance you need to attain. I don't see why you couldn't but I think that if you on a whim took it with you. They may even go as far as confiscating it from you. And when you talk to them make sure not to say something like, "Well I have this urn with my grandmothers ashes, it's not a bomb..." That will make them suspicious. Just tell them what it is and not what it isn't!

Whatever you do do not put it in already checked baggage that is going to get you into a world of poo!

Give the airline a call to see what their policy is in this situation. Even if you can't take it with you, you can always send it by mail or UPS/FedEx.

they will have to send it through the little x-ray machine first and then they will secure it in a "checked bag" to let others know that it is safe.

if u tell them before hand what is in it then they will send through the security scanner thing and see that u were telling the truth

It shouldn't be questioned. If you put it in your luggage which you check in, and if it bothers them that much they could open it and see that it's ashes. You're probably not the only one that brings an urn with them. Check with the airline to double check.

They'll X-ray it and probably give you some hassle. But they might let you go through with it. Best you can do is call the Airline you plan to use and ask. But don't say something like "Well, it's not a bomb or anything" because that'll make them suspicious.

why not? call ur local airport for more information..why u ask such a easy answer questions? seriously..ask ur airline for more information

Ok. I think the airport may want to check it but try to tell them that it's your grandmothers ashes. Or just put it in the luggage. Find a good place to put it and they won't notice and if they do then just try to explain. Or do something more sneaky to have more fun!

i would not because what if that does happen and there is always a chance of the cover breaking because they are not careful with the bags

don't dump it in the ocean because then your grandmother will haunt you till you die that happens allot to people
