They will not let you do that so what you can do order your drink on the plane and sleep it of when you get drunk The other alternative is not to sleep the night before ,so that you can sleep as soon as you get on the plane.

No they won't let you fly if you are drunk.

If any member of the airline staff suspects you've had too much to drink then you will not be allowed to board. Ask your doctor for a vallium instead.

the problems with getting drunk before you get on the plane are 1 they may not let you get on and 2 the alcohol in your body reacts more once you are in the air so you could turn out to be really ill it would be better if you went to the doc or pharmacist and asked for a mild sedative or else maybe go to the health store and find something there you might try rescue remedy good luck and remember the mind is powerfull start talking yourself into it instead of out of it

Not a good idea. Pressure changes in the flight cabin sometimes plays havoc with your inner ear. Being drunk on top of that might make you hurl chuncks you didn't even know you ever ate. Besides, with the restrictions on flights these days, the attendants have a "wide" margin of intolerance. Misbehave because of drunkenness will likely get you arrested and/or put off the plane, even if its not your final destination.

If you want to be really sick during the flight go for it.I think it will ruin it completely for you.

If you're visably drunk, you wont be allowed to board. This was true almost 20 years ago when I was first hired as a F/A and I imagine they can enforce this rule even easier today.

Also be careful of any other medications you may be tempted to take. I know Valium made me walk funny (well, from that and the injury I took it for). If you look out of control, again, you can be denied boarding. All meds are stronger at altitude.

Find out why you are scared of flying. Most people who suffer from this have problems with control issues. They're so used to being in control of every aspect of their lives, it's hard for them to hand it over, as you would when you strap yourself in an airplane.

Statistically you know it's safer than every time you get in a car. I've been in several small car wrecks but nothing ever scary has happened on a plane. I flew for the first time when I was 8 weeks old and did it for a living for 13 years.

Look into one of those courses for those scared of flying and/or see a psychiratrist. Get over this because flying is safe and fun. Don't be left out!

Good luck.

If you are visibly drunk the airlines may very well not let you on the aircraft. Also it is really not a good idea to be intoxicated on the plane, because god forbid if something does happen you want to be able to evacuate the aircraft.

I guess if you're not so drunk as can be a threat to other passengers, they'll let you board... So, be drunk in a gentle way. =)

Elizabeth
Of course you can, if you don't plan on actually going anywhere.

Have you ever thought of attending one of those fear of flying courses?
I have heard very good reports about them.
Good luck what ever you decide to do.
