Honestly? I doubt it. pencil will be fine but sharpener , no!
It has a blade in it, usually detachable via a screw. No way on earth would they let you have that.
I'm pretty confident of this as they don't allow TWEEZERS! Yup, you heard me, tweezers are prohibited... Just on the offchance you start feeling air-rage and decide to pluck someone to death.
Also up there on the "not allowed" list are knitting needles and crochet hooks. Yup, even poor ol Grandma has to leave her hobbies behind.
Though what on earth you could do to someone with a chunky crochet hook I'm not sure, they are fairly blunt....
My recommendation is to bring lots of pencils with you, all pre-sharpened, but be prepared for the possibility they may have updated their rules and no longer allow them in case you stab someone with 20 pencils and give them lead poisoning.
Why not be inspired by all this and make something out of clay instead, something that represents your frustrations and the madness of rules? In fact, ditch the clay, airplane meals have a similar consistency and probably harden better without the relevant firing ovens.
Happy flight |

You will be able to take your pencils and your sharpener with you on your flight. There are no restrictions on these |

my guess is you could get away with it. have you ever been on a 10 hour flight before? you won't want to do much of anything. the lighting sucks and the space is cramped. |

My friend had to finish some art coursework and she was going to America for 3 weeks and she needed to take her art book but they wouldn't let her because of the liquids in her book like paint, even though it was dry. But you probably should be able to take a pencil etc... but i don't know. |

It depends what kind of pencil sharpener you have. If it's just the basic kind where you put the pencil in and turn, no problem. If it's got a blade, no. |

I doubt it. You could get the blades out. |

??????????

I'm sure you can (99.9% sure)because you cant hurt someone with it unless you trow it or the sharp bit is outside
thing you aren't allowed are: knifes alcohol, bombs, liquid over 10ml or container over 10 ml any important stuff e.g milk bottles for babies will have to be tested by drinking some, any drinks have to be bought at the shops at the airport, and there some more you can always check on-linee too hope i help
you are allowed pencil because some people do write and you also have to fill in this form thing,
also if you do draw on the plane it will be annoying becuase the tables are tiny and poeple may have to cross to use the tiolet if you sit at the edge
hope i helped |
