Can I wear flipflops to the airport/on a plane?

Yes, you can DEFINATELY wear flip-flops. In fact, I recommend it.
Flip-flops allow you to move through security quicker, allow you to be more comfortable, and plus if it is hot where you are, it will bring some extra "air" to your feet. However, for in-flight safety, I would bring a pair of sneakers to wear during the flight.

Usually, during flight you are generally prohibited from removing your footwear. You can, but it is strongly recommended not to, for 2 reasons:
1) Flip-flops/no back shoes are a safety hazard buring an emergency or boarding/unloading (god forbid an emergency happen.) Flip flops can cause trips and falls that may result in injusry, in a busy hussling entrance of an aircraft.
2) If you take your shoes off and you fall asleep, one bank of an aircraft could cause them to shift into an aisle, where others or yourself couldtrip on them.

However, you should not fret. You can bring your flip flops and have no worries. if you want, you can but do no have to bring a pair of sneakers / backed shoes. If anything, wear sandals.

None the less, I hope you have a safe flight, and a fun time in your destination. Air travel is amazing, although can sometimes seem like a hassle. Remember the liquids ban as well, so bring TSA approved travel sized liquids, and if you want to rbing aboard soda or candy, buy it within the secure airport area only.

yes it is advised that you wear flat shoes incase of an emgerncey best not to wear high heels but flip flops would be the best

Yes you can wear flip-flops through the airport. To make things faster, wear them through security, because of easy on-easy off. then when you're in the terminal, change your shoes if you want to. you can wear flip-flops on the plane.

I always do domestic trips with flip flops. Anything over 6 hours though, and i go with shoes, just because my feet get cold on those long trans-atlantic flights!

You can wear any type of shoe which includes flipflops or you can wear no shoes at all but you might get some funny looks. At security you have to remove your shoes or flipflops if you are going to wear them, due to a new TSA regulation.

Yeah its actually easier to wear flip flops because you have to take off your shoes and socks when you go through security. So its much easier to slip your flip flops off and then put them back on.

Of course you can!
But I warn you, I read somewhere on the news that people are getting and carrying infections and virus from one country to another. I don't quite remeber what it said exactly, but it wasn't good news. Anyways, even though it's convinient, I wouldn't recommend wearing it. :(

Better hope the aircraft doesn't have an emergency, and you have to evacuate via the chutes. You will wreck your feet.

Ofcourse. Because you would have to take it off anyway when they do searches. Plus, there's no law that states that you can't wear slippers or flip-flops to the airport anyways. By all means.......go ahead.

You and EVERYBODY ELSE... just remember you're walking barefoot across security carpet that 9000 other people have on the same weekend... ugh. Wear the socks through security then put on the flip flops! :)

yup i always wear my flip flopswhen i'm traveling by plane because it's so much easier than wearing shoes. when you have to go through security you have to take things off and it's way easier to take flip flops off and put them back on because shoes you have to untie than retie them after which takes up time and is a pain. i wore my etnies the 1st time i flew and it was a pain going through security so ever since i jsut wear my reef flip flops.
