Yes he can fly alone. The airline that you choose should have a program where the child will be in the custody of the steward/ess. normally. the child will have to sit up front, in the front row and get off of the plane when the crew leaves. If there is a layover, more than likely there will be a waiting room, just for children that he can stay in. When it's close to the time for his other flight to leave, then they will come and get him and take him to it. Trust me! I know this I used to fly by myself constantly when I was 10,11,12,13 years old. Its not a problem and he will be safe! |

Sure, he can fly alone by just simply request the flight stewardess to attend to your brother. Because I happened to have a 3-year old nephew who flew from Manila and he was taken cared of by the flight stewardess. When he arrived there in California, he called us to inform that he arrived safely. |

When a child reaches the age of 15 he/she can fly alone without adult supervision. A child 14 years of age or younger can fly alone but will be attended to by a flight attendant. The flight attendant will be near at all times making sure the child is safe and secure from the time the child boards until the child gets off the plane. I think you will be able to get a gate pass to attend the child to the gate and so will the people waiting for the child when he/she. The child will be required to wear some sort of tag/badge that tells the airline he/she is under 15.
I say that through experience. I've been flying from state to state since I was 12. I had to wear on of those stupid badge things.... I hope my answer helps. |

im pretty sure ur little brother can fly alone without "assiastance". As long as he is not traveling with anbody below the age of twelve im pretty sure he wouldnt need asisitance. |

he would need to fly as an unaccompanied minor. Theres a form that you would need to fill out and a fee that you would have to pay. Most airlines allow kids to fly like that. Try Southwest or JetBlue. Good luck! |

yes he can but you better advise the airlines that an unaccompanied minor is traveling on that flight so they will arrange to take care of him |

He would fly as an unaccompanied minor with the airline being informed of who would be dropping him at the airport and who would be picking him up at the other end. They would assign a flight attendent to escort him onto and off the plane. The person picking him up would have to show ID in order to pick him up. I have had children as young as 4 years old fly alone in the past using this method. It does cost extra for the service. |

He is old enough.- but is he respondsible enough?
go though the whole process step by step with him to make sure he knows exactly what to expect and what to do if he is in a bind.
If it's his first time traveling alone- try not to get a connection |

yes. you just need to call the airlines and ask for a minor to have supervision by a stewart/ess. |

Alot of airlines offer unaccompanied minor service for a fee, usually it's under 12 but some airlines let you add this service if your willing to pay for it. Check with the airline directly by calling them, it's faster then trying to go through all the websites. |

United, Southwest, and AirTran allow 12-year-olds to go on their own. JetBlue and Alaska allow 13+, and the rest are 15+.
For good fares, here's some tips:
1. Check other nearby airports.
2. Check other days, like Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
3. Install Southwest's DING!
4. Check fares as often as you can. They can change within hours.
5. Nonstops can be cheaper as well as red-eyes. However, I wouldn't recommend a red-eye for a 12-year-old on his own, and I don't think CA-TX has them.
6. Watch out for specials. |
