Yes, they can ask you to move. It is the flight attendants job to make sure all passengers are seated comfortably. If they determine you are in the best seat for a particular passenger based on whatever circumstances then they may ask you to move. A good airline policy would be to try to give the affected person a better seat but it is not required.
In regards to your seat on a Southwest flight, you do not reserve seats on Southwest so the flight attendants are given even greater discretion to move passengers around. You will often see them ask passengers to move so that families with small children can sit together. |

Yes they can move them as needed.
With Southwest they do not have reserved seating but have a first come first serve system. (called the southwest cattle call)
Because of not having reserve seating the flight attendants
sometimes have to do what they think is best for overall
passenger comfort. |

The answer to this question is in the detail that you flew with Southwest. Southwest does not sell or reserve any specific seat. The other problem is that there is NO first class on southwest. Their only requirement for people of size is that they fit into the seatbelt with an extender. |
