Can anyone tell me how long a flight is from New Jersey USA to AFRICA?

Also is it a direct flight or would you have to change? e.g Newark airport to Heathrow, then onto Africa?

Erm....where in AFRICA are you going?

It's like asking how long from England to the USA. Like the USA, Africa is very large, mainly from North to South so that the different time zones don't show it's size

Depending on transfers and lay overs could be form 22 to 32 hours. Also don't know exactly where from and where to you are going.

The easiest way is to go to any travel website and type in the travel info. It usually shows on the side. It used to take me about 20 hours to fly from Naples Italy to San Diego including a layover every time in Phili. From Newark to Heathrow is not bad about 7 hours or so.

It depends on where you are traveling to. You can get flight times for airports all over the world at https://www.jets.com/

Hello, not knowing your final destintaion in africa its hard to say as africa is a big continent . best average would be 18 - 24 hrs. if you are planning on connecting thru heathrow be sure your connection flight to africa is not at gatwick. if so may wany to consider a different route. I have traveled in to gatwick and then have exit and take taxis acorss to heathrow.
can take about a hr drive depending the traffic etc. and i have had problems getting taxis etc. it can be a royal pain. from Newark to heathrow i think was about a 9 hr flight, its been a long time. and from heath row to africa you can expect an additional 8-10 hrs flight.Ive travled to angola africa and cape town south africa. to angola i connected in europe normally Paris or Amsterdam and on. to Cape Town south africa at that time delta in conjuction with South african air lines had a direct flight from Atlanta. that was a good 18 hrs flying time. some your answers mentioned customs in the other countires thats notthing to worry about.Unless you exit the airport staying in that country before onward travel to africa you do not have to clear customs etc.. check TSA website on carry on baggage restrictions and do not check in valuable items. advice: pack at least one or 2 changes of clothes in your carry on luggage . in case your checked luggage gets delayed or lost and it does happen every day.my last interntaional trip it took almost a week before my baggage arrived especially traveling into these 3rd world countries . be careful. wear comfortable clothes, and shoes. be prepared to remove shoes, coats, belts , caps etc. through security check points. have a good trip.

It depends on what country in Africa you want to travel too. Africa is a big continent. You also have to plan transfers into your itinerary. Most flights out of the U.S. on the East Coast go into London, where you would change flights, and depending on what country you were traveling too...that would depend on your next area. If you were traveling to Western Africa, you would go from Jersey to London - Then to Spain..Then to Africa...If you were traveling to Eastern Africa, you would travel from Jersey to Germany...then to Greece or Turkey and then take your flight down to Africa. If you were going to the middle. You would take your flight from Jersey to London or Germany..then down to Italy and then down to the center of Africa. Confusing, but you need to know where you want to go first. Then you have to pick an airline, what class, how much you want to pay, ect. That will all add into the length of time of your flight. Have fun. I hope you're good at math (lol). =)

It's hard to say without knowing where in Africa you're going. It could take anywhere from 18 hours to 24 hours. Shouldn't be much longer than that.
