I wouldn't bring a pillow, you'll have enough other stuff to carry and what will you do with it at your destination. There are pillows on the flight that you can use. Grab one and grab a blanket when you get on as planes can get cold. Either wear comfortable shoes or don't be afraid to take them off during the flight (but make sure you're wearing clean socks:).

Bring some snacks and some water in case the flight is delayed and food service doesn't come for a while.

Bring something to do, either a game you can play by yourself (cards for solitaire) or a book to read. There will be magazines on board though that can help you pass the time. Also, they will give you headphones and in addition to movies, you can choose from several music stations.

Be sure to get up occasionally to stretch your legs. It's not healthy to just sit for 10 hours.

Finally, bring some gum so you can chew on it when you're landing. This will help you avoid painful ears/sinus pressure.

I love to fly! I just love the feeling of acceleration and finally the lift off. You should try to sit near the window but be careful not to strain your neck; I've done that, staring out the window (maybe you won't since it's a night flight).

But to be practical, take a few snacks since most airlines are skimping on those (can't blame them). Your own snacks are better anyway. Take some water too because the air in the plane is very dry. Take some earplugs just in case you sit near a baby.
Also, wear shoes that don't have metal in them like slippers or running shoes so you won't have to take them off when you pass through security. Way easier that way.

Have a good flight!

I traveled 14 hours on an overnight flight once and it wasn't nothing like I expected. I was 15 at the time and it was my first so I was pretty nervous, but it was like you weren't even flying. Its so smoothe its like your just in a room full of people. You'll get breakfast and dinner for free and snacks if you ask for them. There's a tv but it plays the same movie over and over again so it can be boring. However, I was lucky and the girl next to me was from Bulgaria (luckily she spoke english) and around my age and we pretty much talked the whole time. It was a blast! Don't worry, it'll be fine. And don't forget to look out the window win the sun sets and rises because it is beautiful!

i dont know how long your flight will be, but i've flown many 7-9 hr flights. dress comfortably. i usually wear some sort of pants and a t-shirt and bring a light jacket b/c it can get cold. the meals arent great and sometimes you dont even want to eat what they serve. it could be a long time before you get to eat again, so i always bring lots of snacks with me...make sure its packaged though, especially if its an overseas flight. you cant take fresh foods with you. sometimes turbulence gets pretty bad. dont freak out though! id bring word find and crossword puzzles with you too. helps the time go by. dont forget to walk around some so you dont get clots in your legs! hope this helps!!!

Anxiety.

Do you drink? Are you over 21? It helps to buy a little bottle or two and drink.

Boredom. Do you like to read, read the mags or bring a book.

it can be scarey, but I really enjoy my plane trips, its really different when you lift off-and then once your up, your ears might bother you-but the flight attendants try to help you feel as comfortable as you can, if you need anything just ask them, some ppl say the landing is the hardest part of the trip, but its like the feeling of running and just coming to a stop but its not that sudden-just don't worry and have fun with it-if you just think positively everything shoud go great-good luck

Nothing. Just taKe in. if you get dizzy sometimes i advise you to taKE dramamine.
you don't need a list, you'll be fine.

you can have breakfast, lunch or dinner -it depends on the time you're flying, and choose one option of the menu, they will have about 2 options or 3. and you can choose juice, milk, and coffee.
you can display your table from the side of your seat in order to eat. if they show movies you will get a pair of earphones and you can choose the language and volume. there will be some magazines to read.
you can sleep, you can asK for a pillow, and you can taKe off your shoes, they can give you a Kind of socks, you can have also a kind of blanket. just bathroom are small.

its awesome. i love flying. the feeling that you get before take off is awesome to me.

overnight. dont worry. sleep. most provide pillows and blankets in the seats (theyr cleaned and changed after each flight so theres no reason to get squirmy)

each airline has different ways of providing service to its passengers, but its all good.

if its pretty long, expect a meal and a snack. if you're traveling on a 777 or 767 and i think maybe a 747, some airlines (ie-continental, virgin atlantic, etc.) have personal entertainment systems that enable you to watch your choice of movies, tv shows and listen to radio stations.

Da Ben Dan
It can be very boring after the initial thrill is gone..take a few things to do..and a sweater or blanket..hopefully you'll be able to sleep.

If you are travelling economy, expect to be slightly cramped with little personal space. Of course, if the plane isnt full, check out the empty seats (usually in the middle of the plane), and, as soon as the seatbelt sign goes off, make a dash for them, you might be lucky and score a few together, allowing you to lie down.
Keep up the fluids (water preferably), dont force yourself to eat the plastic food, go for walks up and down the aisles.
If you are having a choice of seats, visit www.seatguru.com, which gives you the seats with the most legroom, by aircraft type.
Of course, if you are lucky enough to travel business, or first, relax and ENJOY!

Take a travel pillow and small blanket. It gets cold on airplanes, and you will want to sleep. Dress comfortably. Don't wear tight shoes, because your feet will swell slightly. When you get off the plane, check very carefully to make sure you take everything you brought with you, because you might still be groggy from sleep.

its awesome. for the first time it really awesome. especially if u r travelling a different country. just take a blanket with u cuz yeah it gets really really cold up in there. u can't sleep so don't worry bout sleep cuz its too much noisy in the plane. i don't know abou u i can't. and try not to eat too much before or in the plane. cuz tht really gonna ruin ur whole trip.
