yes you can bring it on the plane, and i don't know what some of these people are talking about because you can use it on the plane. they do make an anoucement to make sure all devices are turned off but they also stater once we are at our flying altitude you are more than welcome to use your devieces. they will then tell you when to turn them on and when to turn them off for your decent.

yeah,as long as it goes through the x-ray and they dont find anything hazardous. sharp objects logged into the battery ect.

Yes, you just put it in the basket when you go through the metal detector. It will go through x-ray. They'll probably ask you to turn it on to make sure it really is what it is. Just don't be transmitting while you are on-board - there is always a risk that wireless transmissions can mess with the instruments of the plane - or at least that's the assumption.

Yes, but you can't turn it on inside the plane. but they may make you turn it on when you go through security to make sure it works properly.

You can bring it...But you can't use it...Certain signals mess with the airplane's equipment. Signals from the internet and cell phones. Thats why you aren't allowed to use them inflight.
