I can say yes. But you may have to check with the airline
for the latest rules. |

Yes you may carry it as it is one of the items that is an exeption to the size rules which would also include other items such as media cameras or other musical insraments. now if you are late to the gate and there is no room left overhead for it, you're out of luck it's gonna go below. so save yourself the hassel if you really care about the thing and check in early. also iff you have something to big for the overhead, but too precious to check like a cello, you WILL be required to buy a seat for it. |

Call the airport and ask them...The rules on what you can take and what you can't change by the day..... |

Depends on the airline really, Ive brought mine on once but I had to pay for an extra seat, call ahead and find out ! |

Check with the airline, some may let you buy seat for it, or you may be better off shipping it seperately with insurance on it. |

Where will you put it?? Its too big, unless your flying first class. I dont know if have ever flown the normal seats and if not, its pretty dang squishy. Go on the airports website and check out what the size max is for carry on's. |

Probably. You might have to purchase an additional ticket for the guitar if you want it beside you. This has been a common practice for travelling musicians in the past. |

Yes - as delicate luggage it can be booked. I have seen people carry it in a hard case. |

yes you can, as long you know how to spell "PLANE" |

yes as long as it fits in the overhead or under your seat. It's for the safety and comfort of yourself and the passengers around you. |

I have seen people carry instruments on planes before they are stored in the closet up front by the door you board thru in a closet. |

buy a hard case for it, so it will be safer in the hold. if it's a very expensive guitar, and the flight isn't full might let you bring it on with you, that's what i did on the way back from prague. |

Yes, you can. You will obviously have to scan it through the X-ray at security, but the X-rays only affect high speed film, not electric stuff (it's an X-ray, not a magnet), and usually the flight attendants on most airlines are pretty nice. You should talk to one of them and see if they can store it for you or if they can make room for it for you, but, as always, call ahead of time, and speak to an airline representative. |

Unless it will fit under your seat or in the overhead compartment, you're going to need to check it as luggage. I hope you have a hardshell case, cause it's gonna get banged around. |

my bro-in law works for SW airlines he says YES but 1) in a case 2)will go thru scanner, might affect electric 3)can't play it on the plane unless your really good |

No, you will need to check it. Be sure it is in a good quality case and put a very secure address label with all your info on it. It is a "high risk" item for being stolen by less than honest baggage carriers. |

Probably not - It does not fit the limits for carry-on. |
