Yes both items are allowed with you on the aircraft, you just are not allowed to use them during takeoff and landings. You can get the complete list of what is and is not allowed on the aircraft with you at the TSA website http://www.tsa.gov/

Yeah, you can bring both. I brought my iPod on the plane a few months ago. You just cant use it while the plane is taking off and landing.

Yes, though you do have to turn it off for take-off and landing and you have to disable any wireless features on it. Enjoy!
