You can randomly walk in and buy a ticket, but I'm not sure about to Beaumont. Do any airlines fly there?

You can expect, though, to be subjected to intense scrutiny. Anyone buying their ticket with cash will be. Anyone buying their ticket in the last few hours before departure will be.

You can try. I think you can, if there are seats left. If not, then... well, no luck there. Don't tell anyone dates... there's no promise of leftover seats.

yes you can do its one of the most expensive routing but since you are buying at last minutes there about 98% change your boarding passes
will be code SSSS which means a longer "visit" with the TSA agent(s)
which could include a body scan, as well as being frisked by the agent

first of all, beaumont currently has one airline, continental express that flies from houston bush intercontinental airport (IAH). because of this limited service, there is a good chance that seats may not be available at the last minute and secondly there are only a few flights each day. if at all possible, buy your ticket online, even the same day you travel, to ensure that you get a seat. if you must buy your ticket at the airport, make sure continental flies out otherwise your going to have to buy a separate ticket to houston IAH. paying by cash at the airport will likely incur an additional fee. and you will probably get the dreaded SSSS security designation which means Super Stringent Security Screening

Yes, you can. However, keep in mind that it's very expensive. Discount fares typically have limited seating and advance purchase requirements, so you probably will not qualify for one at the last minute. Walk-up fares can be many times the price of the cheapest ticket. Also, many airlines charge an extra service fee to buy tickets at the airport.

Paying cash at the last minute may also cause you to be flagged as a potential security risk, especially if the ticket is one-way. That can cause you to have to go through additional security checks.

There is really no advantage to this, unless you absolutely cannot plan until the moment of departure, and there are serious disadvantages. You're normally better off to buy in advance. If you have a credit or debit card, you can do it online, from a travel agent, or by calling the airline on the phone. If you must use cash, you'll have to go to a travel agent or the airport.

Just as others have said, if you do, you will be subject to high security scrutiny. If you have to purchase a last minute ticket, pay with a credit card. Or call the airline up as soon as possible to purchase the ticket so you will not fall in the highly suspicious category.

YOu most vertainly can walk into the airport and get a ticket at the ticket counter. But there may not be any seats left and you would need to have proper identification. And when packing make sure to check the TSA website for regulations on what can go in a carry on and what needs to go in your checked baggage.
