Can i pay for plane ticket at the airport?

At the beginning of the summer my fiance and I would like to go to Arizona but every site i have gone to to book a flight requires you to pay by credit card on the spot, is there anyway to book flights online but pay for the tickets at the airport?

What you are asking is that you want the airline to hold a seat while you still hold the money...

that isnt going to happen.

You can pay at the airport, pay with a debit card, buy from a travel agent, pay a friend to put it on their card, or in some cases reserve by phone nad pay cash at a Western Union station. (for a fee of course)

You can go to an airport and buy tickets. You may want to find the flight you want first online so you can find the best price(and more convenient), and then call your airport up or go there and locate the proper hub(delta, AA, Northwest...whatever is not bankrupt) and reserve the flight and pay with cash. You may have to go directly to the airport because they will probably want a credit card to secure your flight. If I were you, I would find a friend with a credit card or ask your parents, pay them the cash and buy the tickets with their credit card. Or open a bank account and get a debit card, it will only take a week or so.

travelmaster
you can go to a travel agent they will acccpect cash
or at the airport
but you cant book online you could call the airline but note some airlines
will charge you for talking to reservation agent

You mean reserve it now and pay for it later at the airport? No, this is not possible unless you do it within a day or so. But most airlines and travel sites accept debit cards and some might allow payment by Western Union. American Airlines, for example, allows payment by Paypal, electronic check etc. I have attached the link to the AA.com website. You don't say which country you are in but you can find a similar page for your country of residence.

Of course, you could always go to a travel agent and pay in cash there.

Generally you have to pay when you make the booking. Some airlines, like American Airlines, will place tickets on hold for you for 24 hours while you pay, but you must pay within that time.

In short, you can pay at the airport, but you'll have to pay when you book the ticket. If you wait until the day you fly, you'll have to pay way more.

if you pay with cash at the airport that will trigger your boarding pass to be code with the dread code of SSSS meaning you will have a longer visit with the TSA agents which can include frisking, hand searching all
your carry-ons(and possible your luggage) going though a sniffer machine and or the body scanner machines
getting asked personal questions why did you pay cash where are you going etc?
a lot of hassle because you paid at the airport

Yes, what you do is call and reserve the tickets. The airline will give you a certain amount of hours to come and pay for it. Good Luck and have fun.

Mary S
no you have to either pay online or call the 1800 number and place it on the phone

sweet beauty - it doesnt work like that you moron, you pay online or on the phone, i have flown more times then you can count
