It should not be a problem. The only things you're not allowed to bring onboard are sharp items (knives, scissors, etc) and also liquids and gels unless they are in 3-ounce containers and all fit in one quart size bag. |

There is a good chance they will search your bag just because the X-ray image will not be very clear. It should only take them an extra minute or two. |

It shouldn't be a problem but you may want to verify that your bag meets the weight restriction. Most domestic flight just have a size restriction but some might be starting a weight limit.
Usually, however, if you roll your coins, any bank will change them regardless of your customer status. Also many retail locations beg for change especially during the weekends when banks are generally closed and they have a hard time getting more. So you can probably change at least some of your coinage for bills at stores. |

There's nothing in airline regulations to keep you from bringing a bag of change, other than the weight restrictions. I would make sure of your bag's weight before going.
You'll probably be asked to open the bag (taking more time to get through security) & you may get some funny looks. LOL
I would allow extra time for getting through security, just in case! |

They will probably ask you about it and may ask to open it but you will have no problem taking it with you. Just no sharp objects or weapons. Have a nice flight! |

Why not? Change is change, whether it's keeping pocket lint company, or it comes in 50 lb bags. But why? Why? Why carry it on? Just put it in your checked luggage. What do you need 50 lbs of change on the flight for?
TSA doesn't work for the airlines; we don't care about the airline policies, and we won't blow the whistle if you're over the weight limit that the airline specifies. All we care about is that it fits through our x-ray, and that you're not carrying something that can bring down the plane in any way, shape, or form. You're going to have trouble doing that with a bag of change. |

Coins are fine. Its just like bringing tons of dollar bills on a plane. |

If the amount is big, like really big, I guess that they might ask you where do you have them from and eventually might request yo prove that they are legal and you have them not because you think something bad.
Last but not least, check what are the security requirement for ponds allowed onboard. This change might be heavier and they then will have good reason to refuse letting you onboard with the change... |

You will not be able to take it as carry on as it is way too heavy. |
