You need some form of ID |
|

ChiangMai
 |
Yes you can, but you will need some sort of photographic ID. The obvious choices would be either your passport or driving licence. |

Yes, you only need photo ID, your driving licence will suffice. |

Yes you can - but you'll need secure photo identification, the only other thing they'll accept is a valid driving licence or provisional driving licence. |

Yes you can, you are not crossing an international border as you will still be in the UK - a government recognised photo ID will be required though ie a driving liscence but your local matalan card would not be accepted |

Yes, but photographic ID is required now. This too is the case you fly from Newcastle to London for example too or to the Isle of Man etc. |

Yes but you need to take some kind of photo ID.
Your driving licence would do (if it's in the new photocard style) |

A few years back I would have said you were taking the pxss, but now I would take my passport if I travelled anywhere in the UK.
A sad but a true situation! |

A lot of people answering this have already highlighted that whilst it is not necessary for you to use your passport from Scotland (or any other domestic flight within the UK to destination within the UK) to London, you will need acceptable forms of ID with a photo.
I will expand this further for people reading your question and who do not have any photo ID to make a domestic flight.
There is such a thing that is accepted as the ID is verified before it is issued and is accepted for a domestic flight is the Citizen's Card. For pair of photos and a small fee (currently £9.00) they will verify your ID and issue you with a card with you photo on it. It is the same card used to prove your age when out drinking (in the case of those lucky enough to look under 21 (even though the legal age for alcohol is 18 in the UK) to prove their age and that they are old enough to buy alcoholic drinks). This card is being accepted by airlines as valid photo ID for internal flights in the UK
For more information go to www.citizencard.co.uk |

As long as you carry legal ID you can. Does not have to be a passport.
(As far as I know a driver license is not a legal ID but they may accept it.) |

If you have a passport take it just in case, I have heard of some airlines refusing passengers on internal flights because they didn't have a passport, take some form of ID with you. |

yes you can. my wife and her sister and brothers arranged a flight for their mother for her 70th birthday, as she had never flown in her life and it was her ambition to experience flying, she had a wonderful day, they hired a limo to take her there it was only a day trip, but one she will never forget. |

Has it become a requirement that you have to get drunk to send in answers nowadays? Scotland and England are part of the same country, you idiots - The United Kingdom. It's like flying from Melbourne to Sydney or Paris to Marseilles. You do not need a driving licence, a passport, a video club membership card or a cheery little sign saying "Hi, My Name Is .... " stuck on the front of your blue polyester safari suit jacket. You are subject to the same travel restrictions as if you were travelling by bus or train - none at all. |
