3 oz of liquid in a 3 oz container is allowed in a quart size zip lock bag that you show security when you go through to get to your gate. You can put other items in the zip lock bag as long as it's 3oz or less. One baggy per passenger. Some airports, are allowing a bottle of water after you go through security and you are at the gate.
good luck

you cant take water through customs but can buy in the departures lounge.
you can take under 100mls of fluids ie cosmetics. n baby food etc has to be drunk in front of customs.
you have to have them in a clear bag but this can be inside you normal hand luggage.

Why should you want to take water on board when the cabin crew will give you some free?
lebubblelicious
They were talking about this on the radio. Basically you are allowed to take anything of your own that is under 100ml in a clear plastic bag from what I gathered.
But you can buy things in duty free and the cashier will put them in sealed plastic bags that you won't be allowed to open until you reach your final destination.
Its best to check with your airline though.

Generally yes, but all the details for carrying liquids should be on the website for the air port you are flying from.

nothing over 100ml can be taken onto an aircraft. When you are at the airport in the UK, there are lots of people around who are able to help you.
weeman1971
Only if you have bought it air side, in other words from the shops in the airport after you pass through the check in.
could be a con just to get more people buying stuff from the airport rather than bringing in stuff from home.

Why load yourself down with bottled water when it will be available on the plane?

Yes and small arms and grenades are all ok as long as they fit into one bag!
