well idk but i know southwest airlines has some great deals-- don't know if you could find any that come like with a hotel but if you could do it separately i'd try them.

Try ebay. Alot of times when people cancel a flight they are left with a flight credit instead of a refund. Eager to get their money back or something close to it people end up selling their credit for way less than what it's worth.

Although limited in places they travel to Jetblue is one definate airline to look for credits on ebay.

look for the new airline, they are flying from burbank to the mid west for $ 100 . i dont remeber the airline name it was all over the news. nashville is way closer may be you can get it for $ 50. good luck

Since it looks like May 11-13, that's within 14 days departure, so I recommend you look at http://www.site59.com and http://www.lastminute.com for air+car and/or air+hotel package offers. Their deals are usually very good for last-minute travel, usually getting car or hotel together with airfare, for about the same price as if you booked last-minute airfare separately.

Air alone looks like $299, cheapest option, and that's Continental nonstop flights from Houston. So that's $600 for the 2 of you just for airfare. A package offer including mid-size car from Hertz at the airport is only $610 (Site59.com).

From McAllen $708 total for 2 travelling together. It's sometimes more cost-effective to go from a close airport--even if it's a small airport. (This price also from Site59.com).
