Heathrow is the nearest major airport to Oxfordshire.

From outside the UK, fly to Heathrow. It's on the 'right' side of London if your onward travel is by car or bus, and if you are on the train, it's got the best links to Paddington which is where you go from for Oxford...

HEATHROW?
YOU HAVE THE M40 ON THE DOORSTEP AND OXFORD IS JUNCTION 9 -OR 8 DEPENDING ON NORTH OR SOUTH

Steve
Luton airport or east midlands

kevin friend
Heathrow is direct via motorway M4-M25-M40 but is not the closest but should be quicker, Luton via ''A'' roads but easy to get lost if you dont know your way about but a sat nav will solve that problem, midlands airport is a little further but is easy via motorway M42-M40, i would use the heathrow option myself

Heathrow/Luton and perhaps (depending on where exactly you are going) Birmingham

I would say Luton , thats the one my brother in law uses.

Bristol.

There is a frequent bus runs from the airport to Bristol Temple Meads Railway Station. From there, there is a good Rail service.
