the rules are you can carry liquid's that are in CONTAINERS that 100ml or less as long as it fits in a see through bag that must be able to close and the bag can be no bigger than 20cm x 20cm.
liquid's, cream's, gel's and paste' as well as aerosols.
you are only allowed 1 clear bag per-person.
My advice would be to check a bag in if you are going any longer than over night as the chance's are you will have more than you are allowed.

EDIT: the rule's are set out by the department of transport (dft)
not the airline's and in the uk the rule's (although about the same) are set by ml's not oz's. in the uk 100mls is just under 4oz

Yeah you have to put any stuff like that in a little ziploc sandwich bag type thing, they have them at the airport. You have to take your 'sandwich bag' out of your luggage and put it through the scanner separately. I had to do it with a tube of lip balm.

just make sre you dont take too much like things like foundation but that ib your bags that you check in, i was allowed my ysl mascara in Uk as soon as i went through customs in Mexico they took it off of me
so it varies from country to country but as your staying in the Uk it should be fine

as long as it's under 150 ml and you put it in a clear plastic bag next to your hand luggage on the tray to go through x-ray. If you have anything bigger like shampoo / hairspray etc. it will have to go in the hold luggage.

Are you sure it's a plain and not a salt n' vinegar? It's a plane.

it depends with different airlines but usually you can have up to 100ml of liquid. A bottle of liquid eyeliner is tiny so im sure you can take it.

:)

carinamiles860
yeah they allow all that kinda stuff but only very light luggage.

no guns or knives tho.

yup! just make sure you put in in a ziploc baggie along with any other liquids that are 3 ounces or less. Liquids that are more than 3 ounces cannot be carried on in a ziploc and need to be checked in.

if it's 2oz or less, you can put it in a ziplock bag. any more than that, though, it has to be in a checked bag.
