YES. But you cannot do it online.
Go to a travel agent. They will arrange the ticket and charge you a few bucks extra. The ticket will be waiting for your friend at another airport, where HE can show all his identification, and be screened for his visa, passport, etc.
I have done that before for a friend traveling from South America to America. And a second time to Europe.
Another way is to have your brother buy his ticket in France. He can pay for it when you transfer Dollars to Euros and into his French bank account. Ask your local bank about fees and transfer time. He might even get a better price than YOU from Air France, and avoid the travel agent's fee.
Right now the euro is strong, so look for a price of around 600 euro (780 dollars) and even more closer to Christmas.

Yes you can, the problem is not about the payment information, is about the fare rule and restrictions of the flight ticket, at the economy non-flexible class u can only change the departure date by paying a fee, u cannot change the destination or the name on the plane ticket, if your brother bought a economy-flexible u can change the name then and if he bought the plane ticket on your name u can travel with no problem.

Yes, you can. I have done it several times online and via travel agent. I've bought tickets for my parents, spouse & kids. Passenger name will be your brothers' & the name on a credit card will be yours (assuming you are using your credit card). One thing, make sure you have a right spelling of your brother's name so it matches the spelling in his passport.

You have to go through a company like Orbitz or Travelocity or Expedia. If you go throught the airlines directly, they want the passenger name and name on the credit card to match.

yes u can...i have done so many times...on-line and thru a travel agent! No problem just make sure you have teh exact spelling of tehir name as it appears on their passport
