Can you bring CD's on airplanes or overseas?

My friend wants me to bring some mixed music CD's for her. Is this allowed?

They don't explode, they don't make other things explode, they don't provide electricity to make things explode, and they don't act as a switch to determine WHEN that electricity will make things explode.

And no, they cannot be used as a lethal frisbee of death.

CD's are permitted in carry-on. Us TSO's would probably be lynched if we didn't permit such simple things - our congressmen already made a fuss in DC because we kept taking their expensive lighters.

lildude211us
yeah

Yes you can.
The general rule is that you do not use any electronic devices while taking off and landing. And your cell phone has to be switched off at all times, but you can play your ipod and player when they tell you that the fasten seatbelt sign is switched off.

If you are just carrying the CDs with you, then that's also fine.

MadMan

Yes.

It is usually allowed. If you want to listen to it on the plane, you probably want to bring headphones so that the flight attendants or other passengers don't ask you to turn it off.
