Can you bring a rabbit on a air plane?

I'm sure it depends on the airline - but Yes, I've seen someone bring a rabbit onto a plane. He got in trouble though, because he let it out of its cage at the boarding gate, and it was hopping all over the waiting area!

You should not do this for fun, because being on an airplane is very stressful for a rabbit. There have been instances where rabbits broke down from heart failure in the vet's room - simply after having been taken there for an easy check-up. They just couldn't cope with the stress of being outside their normal enviroment.

Call the airline. Make sure the rabbit is not caged next to a snake. Make sure there are no snakes on the plane.

There's no restrictions really as to what type of pet you can bring on an airline - it would depend on the airline's policy - you should be able to bring your rabbit as long as its in a pet carrier. It also depends on where you are travelling - certain countries will restrict you from bringing a pet with you unless they have been quarantined for up to 6 months.. that is to avoid your pet bring any new diseases into the country.

I would say no, but if you go to the website or call the airlines, you can find out.

For what concern the air company I travel for a rabbit is considered a pet and if its weight does not exceed 10 kg he can travel in cabin with his owner (maximum 2 petc in an aircraft). However, every company has its own rules, therefore, it is better to check directly with them.
