Medications (which includes saline solution for contacts) are not limited to the 3 oz rule (or the quart bag rule) for carry on. So your saline and inhaler should be fine.

"To ensure the health and welfare of certain air travelers there are no limits on the amounts of the following liquids, gels and aerosols you may carry through a security checkpoint:

* All prescription and over-the-counter medications (liquids, gels, and aerosols) including KY jelly, eye drops, and saline solution for medical purposes;"

The toothpaste & water has to be under 3oz to be carried on/get through security, otherwise you can just pack it on checked luggage.

If you wait to purchase some bottles of water after you go through security, they can be whatever size you want.

not sure what kind of movies they will play. It's usually listed in the on flight magazine, maybe you can find the same info on your carriers site

You can bring contact solution and toothpaste as long as they are in containers that are 3 fluid ounces or smaller. These containers then need to be sealed in a quart-size Ziplock baggie. http://tsa.gov/311

As for water, either bring a reusable water bottle and fill it after you get through security or buy a bottle after security; you will not be allowed to bring a full size water bottle through with you.

Check your airline's website to see what movies they will be showing (I can almost guaranteed that there will be at least one movie); there should be a part of the site that says, "During your flight" or something like that. You can also search the website for "inflight movies".

Have a great trip!

3 oz or less is the rule for liquids and gels. However, your Athsma inhaler is medicine, which is permitted. Movies....well, it really depends on the Airline. Some have only one or two for the cabin, others have personal units at each seat and you can pick from an assortment.

Visit the TSA site for guidelines on liquids and gels, the airline site for info on movies:

www.tsa.gov

I wanted to add....I always wear glasses on long flights and change into contacts when I arrive (or right before you land). On long flights (over 5-6 hours) you'll find your eyes will really dry out - there's not a lot of moisture in the cabin.

yep, anybody who says 3oz or less for contact sol....bzz! wrong answer. You have to have it in separate baggie from your other liquids...

toothpaste, though, >3oz.

I am assuming "here" means USA? The contact thing does NOT apply FROM the EU (as I found out to my cost!)

Yes, enjoy your flight! Erin go bragh....

i dont see why not ...!

Any liquids, gels, or aerosols need to be 3 oz or less (each), and they all need to fit in a 1 quart ziploc see-through plastic bag. You can't take bottled water unless you buy it at the airport after you go through security.

Once you get on the plane, it will say in the in-flight magazine what movie is playing. There probably will be a movie since the flight is overseas. Good luck! Enjoy Ireland!

The movies are pretty much chosen at Random so you never really know.

You can bring toothpaste and contact solution if it is in a container that holds LESS than 3.0oz.

I'm not sure about asthma inhaler, but I would guess yes considering it is needed for your health.

no you cant bring it on your carry on bag it allows only a certain amount of liquid. you can pack it in your other suitcase though...but bring a smaller bottle of solution. my sister was in the same situation.
