Can you buy alcohol on a plane? |
I know you can't take your own alcohol.
But can you buy alcoholic drinks on those trolleys on airplanes?
I don't mean for specific airlines, just in general.

Sure you can, they serve those small airline sized bottles on planes and you can also get cans of beer or glasses of wine. On most international flights the drinks are free. You can also buy bottles of liquor in the duty-free shops and from duty free shopping on the plane on international flights, but you can't drink your own liquor own flights. |

Actually, you can take your own alcohol- think about the duty free shops once you are inside security. I'm sure it's frowned upon, but that doesn't mean you're unable to bring your own drinks. Secondly, while all airlines serve drinks (for free on many international flights) you have to watch out for the drinking age. If you are on a German airline, for example, you need to be 16 in order to be served beer of wine, the country's drinking age. But just in general? Yes, you certainly can buy alcoholic drinks on trolleys. |
