Can you delay your flight after a bomb exploded in your destination?

I am supposed to visit Bangkok next week and my flight ticket is non-refundable. For the past few hours there have been a few blasts in Bangkok, which makes me worried. Do you think in this new situation, you can ask the airline (ironically, it it Thai Airways) to allow you to delay the trip?

I think unfortunately most travel insurance does not cover acts of terrorism, so it might also mean the airline's own insurance will not potentially cover it either.

You will definitely need to check with the airline in this situation. Hope you have a save flight and holiday.

Check the FCO website. If the foreign office advise against travel to the destination, you are entitled to cancel your flight and get your money back, if you have insurance that predates the bombings. The airline may refund you, but that is at their discretion.

It might depend on your insurance policy

mobilemark
mostly airlines will let you change or cancell your flight if there
was some type of problem at your destination..
best one to ask is the airline -call the reservation number ask that person if you can change your flight -explain that you are concern if that first agent isn't helpful ask to speak to a supervisor
lots of time the the supervisor can assit when the agent cant

lavenderbluememories
I'm sure they'd let you as they really wouldn't want to be sued...

It depends on the type of ticket you have bought - contact Thai Airways for advice.

No way. If it's a non refeundable ticket you've got no chance. Just go.
