Yes, you can fly with a broken leg. You probably won't want to sit in the emergency exit row, however. My son flew home with a broken leg (after skiing) a couple of years back. Be sure to drink plenty of water and take an aspirin when you leave to lessen the risk of clotting, and try to get an aisle seat if you can. You can probably ask to board early so that things are a little easier for you. |

yes after you make your reservation (even if done online)
call the airline to tell them you will need a wheelchair
they will put that into your passenger record
so when you arrive at the airport -you just advise the person
(a customer service agent you need a wheelchair Or the skycap
they would promptly get you one then you use that chair
until you board your flight plus you will mostly like be able
to preboard first as well -then when after the flight is
over -the airline will have a wheelchair waiting for you at the jetway (you can ask the flight attendant to make sure there's a
chair for you at the other end)
one my friends flew with a broken Knee cap -and had no problems
the airline was most helpfully |

Not only can you fly, you even get to skip the security line! People with disabilities definitely can fly. It would be illegal to refuse service to people because of a disability if the necessary accomidations are within reason (so they're not required to come up with a heart and lung machine, but they do have to provide wheelchair access unless there's a really good reason they can't). People with physical disabilities fly all the time. People with a disability or injury that limits their ability to walk can request a wheelchair to take them from check-in to the gate, and then from the gate to baggage claim, and the airline has special wheelchairs that fit in the aisle on the plane to get them to their seat. And since they have an airport employee with them, they get to skip the security line (and for international travel, the customs lines as well). So all in all it's a pretty sweet deal. I've known a couple people who've flown when they had an injury that prevented them walking to the gate, and they've all said it makes dealing with the airport a lot less stressful.
A broken arm probably wouldn't be much of a problem since the person could still walk, but the airline would provide assistance as needed for things like lifting carry-on bags.
Passangers do have to arrange wheelchair service in advance through the airline, but they can definitely still fly. I would say that flying with a broken leg would probably be significantly less problematic than flying with an ear infection, which would hurt like hell during take-off and landing. Although I imagine a broken leg would be fairly unpleasant on a long flight just for having to sit in an airplane seat with nowhere to put your feet up or anything. |

Sure they allow you. Just get a wheel chair at the airport. I would call my airlines and let them know I have a broken leg. Make sure there aren't any restrictions. I see people in wheel chairs all the time. |

You can fly with a broken leg. However, be careful as to how long you plan on sitting without moving your leg. Consult a physician and (s)he can discuss with you getting up and moving to keep blood flow to the leg. You definitley don't want to sit for hours and cut off blood to the stationary leg. Generally, that's bad. |
