It all depends on the airline and where you sit. Cheap seats are not allow. But some First Class & Business Class seats have lap top plugs.
Useage depends on airline and what country your in at time.
Just as you can never use a personal cell phone on a flight in USA. You can use the in seat phone for a huge fee. Well some airlines now have internet for a fee. |

Some airlines do, but none that I have worked for. As long as you are above 10,000 ft. You can bring out your laptop, but the internet is subject to availibility. |

While it is most airlines allow you to use a laptop, they request that nothing that requires a signal (ie cell phones or wireless internet connections) be used, as those connection will interfere with the planes electronics. |

Yes Singapore Airlines and Austrian Airlines (Lauda Air) have them on the back of the seats... you have a T.V screen and you can watch movies and use Internet but i think you need a credit card from memory i cant remember but yes you can go on line in the air....Oh also emirates Airlines i think have it as well......... |

I am not sure if this answer is valid now since they don't allow laptops now.. but not for all flights
anyway, LuftHansa is the first airline, as far as I know, to provide wireless interne for it's bussiness passengers
so, yes, if u travel with LuftHansa, u can! |

i dont know what u ppl are all talking about. tru, u cant use a laptop with a wireless connection, but thats why some airlines such as singapore airlines and south african airlines have internet in the seatback tvs. |
