Bulgaria, they still use the bulgarian lev, three hours 45 mins from britain, you get around 240-260 levs to the pound sterling, super cheap summer holiday, lovely country, great people. |

Sunny weather cuts down the list. Malta still uses the lira, until 1/1/2008, and that's only 3 1/4 hours on BA. Of course, the countries of North Africa use their own currencies, are generally sunny, and in the case of Morocco or Tunisia are not terribly far from the UK. |

The only place I know that is quite near is Turkey. You can use the euro there if you want, but they also use their lira and english money they love aswell.
The flight takes about 4 hours (thats manchester - dalaman). |
