I think people can get too worked up about this kind of thing. I don't understand why airplane food has such a bad rap. It is no different from other precooked and reheated food commonly available throughout the world....Mcdonalds, burger king etc all spring to mind as do all the microwave meals in supermarkets. A cup of rehydrated noodle is really no different or better or worse than the actual meal you would recieve

I think airlines do a good job to get decent meals on board and there are many people in this world who do not have enough to eat who would think an average airline meal is a feast!

I think the air pressure in the cabin and the recycled air can make the food taste bad though and I also think that pressure affects peoples taste buds...perhaps thats why you don't like easting so much when you are flying.

well... depends on which airline you travel by..
i've travelled by a few airlines to-from india.. and i actually loved food they served on Jet airways and air india.

actually since you are just sitting in a cramped place for a long time you do not feel like eating anything.. but keep drinking juice/water to keep urself from geting dehydrated!

Sometimes airplane food is okay. It depends on the airline and what they are serving. But I always carry some food with me in case I don't like what they serve.

I think you are traveling the wrong airlines to Vietnam. Did you fly United ? ugh. We also travel to Vietnam every summer and the food is good on the airlines we travel on. Try flying Singapore or Japanese Airlines, food is good, service is fantastic and lots of good free Bia.

No , whenever I fly now, I make sure that I carry enough food (snacks) in my hand luggage to sustain me for the duration of the flight.
