I wouldn't check it in at baggage claim i would check it at the gate and you can pick it up at the gate when you get off the plane. because most likely if you take it through baggage claim they will just throw it around and it might get broken. if checked at the gate they will be gentle.

Good luck!!!

no. and no. Unless it is less than certain dimmensions, which it wont be you can't take it on board. You need to get a hard case to protect it.

ed
My grand daughter did.

moonstonefrogs
Yea. Like luggage. Put it in a nice case, make sure it doesn't shake and tape fragile on it. My brother did it and his guitar was fine

You must ask the airport if that is possible.

You usually can as a special arrangement.

FLYNNN
Depends on how large and what airline. Most major commercial airlines wouldn't allow it because it is to big.

If it were my guitar I would bring it on the plane with me
Arent those shelves above the seats big enough for a guitar???

you would have to ask i imagine. Also, you should loosen the strings, because of the change in air pressure, your strings may become wacky and out of tune or break.

Hodge M
I sent mine through; it was fine. I would use a hard body case just to be safe though.

Kevin rudd
yes, but put it in the carry bag and put in on your back, your aloud to do that!!

Mateo
yes

no you cant.. i guess..

Mr. Know It All
I have the flight attendant put it in the closet at the front of the plane. Do NOT check your guitar at baggage.

Yes, as long as its not a bomb guitar or a guitar filled with guns like El Marriache.
