You should be able to, but you will be asked to turn them off for the critical flight phases of takeoff, climb, final part of descent and landing.
Why? There is a safety concern that the electro-magnetic radiation these devices generate will interfere with the aircraft electronic systems. During the critical flight phases the risks are considered higher, and air safety authorities require the devices to be turned off.
What radiates? Most 'computer' chips generate some electo-magnetic radiation. A relatively simple way to tell is if the product label has a FCC symbol. This is an indication it has been approved by the US Federal Communications Commission because it emits radio frequency radiation. |

Hello,
Yes, you can. As long as they fit in your carry-on luggage. You won't be able to use them until after take-off and must stow them before landing but there is no rule that says you can't have them. In fact, the airlines tell you not to put anything of value in your checked luggage, so that means you must take it into the cabin with you. Pull them out of your suitcase as soon as you can once you board the plane so you'll have them handy when the okay to use them bell sounds.
You can also take your laptop with you if you want.

I see why not. As long as you can put it thru the x-ray check, which incidently, does not spoil either of these - especially if your camera is digital.
Follow instructions by the flight attendants when they say not to play electronic instruments. You should have very little trouble. |

yes you can have both. They must be powered off once the boarding door is closed and must remain off until the plane reaches 10,000 feet (i.e. you can't take pictures of the takeoff...LOL). Also on approach into your destination, they must be turned off as well. The flight attendants should let you know by a P.A. when they need to be turned off. |

I always have them with me on the plane and I see other people has them too. Any electronic devices or entertainment that you can carry on like small things are allowed. There are times though that you are advice to close them on take offs and landings and yo are advice when you can use them again. |

Sure.
They will ask you to not use electronic devices for ten minutes after you take off and 10 minutes before you land. |
