Yes, you can bring formula with you on the plane. When you travel with a baby not children, baby as in those you still push on a stroller; you can bring a slightley larger amount of liquids depending on the distance you are traveling (3 to 4 bottles usually in U.S.). If you bring formula already prepared in a bottle (need no zip lock) make sure you take it out and present it to security, same goes for baby food. If you bring the powdered form you will have no problem as powder is not a prohibiited substance. Try not to buy bottled water before going by security as you will not be allowed to take it through. Buy the water after security to save yourself the trouble. Once you have bought the water after security you can make the powdered formula and if you need to warm it up the airline will help you with that. Be careful about calling the airlines or looking into their websites for information on security matters. Airlines and TSA (dhs,federal government) are two different departments and tho airlines can give you some information about security, information always changes and you may not be receiving current information from the airlines. Yes you can bring formula on the aircraft with you, they allow more liquids etc.. on the aircraft if you are traveling with a child, here is the link to the TSA section on that:

Yes,, you can bring formula with you in a plane.... Please bring the powdered form with you... because the liquid form might get you in a bit of mishap with the TSA's.

Back in Oct . we went out of the country on Continental , and we have a 10 months old , we took 3 -6 oz bottles on board we us and had no problems the only thing was we were search by the side , everything was ok and we were let go .
what i did was i called the airport and ask them , and was told there was no problem , so you shuold call your airport and find out . have a goos trip !

As a Flight Attendant and a mom who flies a lot with my three children, I highly recommend using the bottles with plastic liners and powdered formula. I would premeasure the powder before leaving and roll them up. I could put a bunch of these in one zip lock and just throw them away as I used them.

Airplanes have really bad sinks for washing traditional bottles. With the disposable kind, you only have to deal with the ring and nipple.

I also highly recommend that you get your baby used a room-temperature bottle. Yes, they will warm them up on the aircraft. I did many in my career, but I wasn't there in the waiting area, security or check-in! I saw how many problems this caused parents when I worked so I made sure I didn't have to do it when I had my own baby. Don't make your life more complicated with this added, unnecessary task. There is no health-advantage to a warmed baby bottle.

If your baby only takes bottled water, make sure you bring enough on board. There isn't an unlimited supply and we ran out quickly at work. The tap onboard is probably safe but don't push your comfort levels. Buy it after security and/or try to get a bottle from home through.

Probably not in liquid form. If you bring powdered form, then you can get the water on the plane. You are not allowed to bring the water bottles on the plane with you.
