Can you take pictures inside of an airport? |
I have done plane spotting before and it's perfectly legal outside of the airport property, but what about in the terminal? I have seen people take pictures of the aircraft at the gate and not get in trouble, but I want to be sure it's legal. I have done so with my cell phone but that's it. I know all the rules once inside of the aircraft, but what about in the terminal? I'm sure with terrorism scares, it might be questioned, but is it legal?

Ya I understand how pointless it would be to stop me but the way security is anymore... would like to be safe. Flown numerous times and actually have 19 flights this summer. Yes... aviation freak :D |

I am brown. I take pictures all the time. Just know that you arent doing anything wrong, and as long as you arent it is okay. If people are uncomfortable with you taking pictures, stop taking pictures.
Also, many people out here tend to be very very narrow minded when they see tan people taking pictures, or simply even sitting in a plane. After 9/11, I dont blame them.
Either way, I wish that people get educated. But getting back to the question, it is perfectly legal to take pictures. |

Of course you can take pictures in the terminal. What harm can a picture really do? Even if a terrorist would take pictures, what would they use them for? |

I do it all the time. I think it is legal, as legal as taking a picture of it outside the airport. If someone stops and ask you, just say you didn't know and are taking pictures for a photo album of your trip. I wouldn't put too much thought into it. |

mostly it shouldn't be a problem, unless you're in a country which is very security-conscious (e.g. middle east) ... use your common sense |

Once you land on an international flight, you are not allowed to take pictures or use your cell phone or any other electronic device until after you go through immigration and customs. |

I've never had a problem either in any domestic or international airport. Of course, I've never been (and do NOT intend to) travel to the Middle East or any Arab country. I can only assume that one would meet with some resistance there. |
