yes you can but you must expect to be asked to open them if the item cannot be identified through xray. As you will appreciate this is done for everyone and is purely for everyones safety, which is all good news. Enjoy your trip |

No do not waste your time wrapping anything, because if they do not get touched over here, they certainly will when you land in the USA. Plus when you are coming home as well, and that has gone on many years. My Daughter had hers gift wrapped for someone special, and they tore the paper to bits. ( she was only ten at the time) and she was very upset. |

I did last year,when i went to visit family in the US.
I never got any bother.
When my carry on bag was scanned,they asked what was in the gifts,i told them and that was that (i put them in my carry on because some were breakable)
I'm sure millions of passengers are transporting gifts with them at this time of year.
If anyone asks,just tell them whats in it.
At the very worst,they'll just open it and take a look. |

I think you will probably find that you will have to open them as you go through security ( makes sense!!) Better to wait and wrap them when you get there. |

yes - they just have to be x-rayed. They cant contain any liquids though.
EDIT: I meant you could check them... if you carry them on, someone will most likely want to open them |
