Yes, in domestic US flights. Flights in and out of the UK all electronics are banned in carry ons as well. Here's the TSA link.

i don't think you. since the terror threats, lots of airlines have banned all electricals. i'm not completely sure now, but i know that yesterday, ipods weren't allowed. :s |

yes you can. can't use it during the ascent or descent but you can use it once crusing altitude has been reached. don't worry about the xray machine zapping your songs either. won't happen as I've done it many times without incident |
