Can you take your laptop onto an airplane ?

also, if you can, will they allow you to take your added extras on too, like and extra internet cable to take to your destination, etc.

Yes, I've done it many times. You can bring the add ons too as long as they fit in your carry on bag.

Definitely take all electronics on the plane with you, as most insurance companies won't even compensate them if they were in your suitcase, and we all know how unreliable bags can be to getting to their correct destination or still in one piece.

But as the other post have said you can't have the internet on during the flight. You also can't use the laptop during take off and landing but after that your are free to use it.

I've been on business trips so I can safely say that you are allowed to bring laptops here and fro - however, on international flights, additional security check might be given to your electronics.

Note: if they are going to check your laptop, make sure that your the one to open it and bring it out of the case and also the one to turn it on and stuff - because most security check personnel aren't familiar with some types of laptops.

Well i think as long as you turn off your wireless then you should be fine.

But I'm not totally sure if you even need to turn it off the wireless, its just like having a digital camera or anything else that's electronic on a plane.

The only thing that you can't turn on is your cell phone cause it messes with the ground to air signal.

I think you can, so it won't get damaged or stolen but to make sure go to an airline website or something, also i don't know about the extra stuff so you should figure it out somehow, you could probably ask people in real life about this kind of stuff too.

good luck on figuring it out. =)
