It depends on many factors, especially how crowded the flight is, and the size of the airplane. I think you will be fine, as long as the suitcase conforms to cary-on size regulations.

Be sure to check the regulations of the airport you are flying into. Most airports will allow a separate purse and small bag, but some require the purse to fit into the other bag when going through security. A specific one I can think of is London Gatwick.

But generally, you will be ok. Anything that is in the purse doesn't count as a separate item, no matter where you fly through.

Some airlines allow you to have more than one carry on. Check on the airline's website to see if you could take two. If not, most airlines will let you get away with having a bag inside of a bag. I just got back from a trip and I had a messenger bag as my carry on. Inside I had a purse and a camera bag.

The FAA strictly prohibits no more than ONE suitcase/bag/etc. and ONE smaller personal item (purse, laptop, DVD player, camera, etc.). Any bag you carry on must go through screening at a TSA Security Checkpoint and must meet the bag size requirements.

If the camera is in another bag, it should be fine.

Got Peach?
You will need to check with your airline..some only allow one piece of carry on luggage.
Most participating flights from heathrow will allow a small suitcase, purse and camera as long as the camera is in the purse..totalling in 2 seperate pieces of carry on luggage.

Have a safe flight wherever you are going!!

Yes you can. Especially if you put it into your purse.

You could have a purse, a suitecase and a laptop, so your camera is not a problem.

As long as you put the camera in your purse or suitcase you're ok. You can ONLY have 1 carry on and 1 personal

Your best bet is to check on the airlines website but also airport security makes a difference as well..
For example ; Manchester , Liverpool airports and most of the airlines that you travel with from these airlines with will restrict you to only one piece of hand luggage , the weight and dimensions of the hand luggage wearies from one airline to another tho, but on the other hand Dublin will allow you or Spanish airports will allow you with 2 pieces of hand luggage, so be careful, you might end up putting your hand luggage in your suitcase which might take you over your suitcase allowance and you will have to end up paying for your suitcase as an excess....Always check your hand luggage allowance first then your suitcase.....
