Air travelers may carry liquids, gels and aerosols in their carry-on bag when going through security checkpoints.

The following rules apply to all liquids, gels, and aerosols carried through security checkpoints.

-All liquids, gels and aerosols must be in three-ounce or smaller containers. Larger containers that are half-full or toothpaste tubes rolled up are not allowed. Each container must be three ounces or smaller.

-All liquids, gels and aerosols must be placed in a single, quart-size, zip-top, clear plastic bag. Gallon size bags or bags that are not zip-top such as fold-over sandwich bags are not allowed. Each traveler can use only one, quart-size, zip-top, clear plastic bag.

-Each traveler must remove their quart-sized plastic, zip-top bag from their carry-on and place it in a bin or on the conveyor belt for X-ray screening. X-raying separately will allow TSA security officers to more easily examine the declared items.

There are exceptions for baby formula, breast milk, and other essential liquids, gels, and aerosols, including prescription and over-the-counter medicines.

There are so many things that are totally restricted, and some that are just limited as to quantities. Rather than put a bunch of stuff here that may or may not be what you would take with, I have the website for the TSA (Transport Security Admin.)in the US. They give you all kinds of details of what you can have with you.

This sight is very useful and tells you everything you can / can not / or maybe shouldn't. Have a nice flight.

You may have to double check but I am pretty sure that common things ( toothpaste, mouthwash,Air Freshner;etc;etc;) Is not allowed. Okay, I realize this sounds stupid but, I think that people (bad ones) mixes it which could possibly make a bomb... Tell me how that works

You can't take any liquids over 100ml through security to the departure lounge. So no shampoos, shower gels, fake tan etc... And you're not allowed any aerosols either.
So don't risk any toiletries at all!
But you cant hen buy any liguids you like, once you're though security.

You're not allowed bring anything sharp on either, So no tweezers, scissors etc...

You should go online, find the website for the airports you'll be traveling to/from to make sure of what they let you carry on. I think different countries have different regulations... :)

I recently went on a trip back home from Aus to South Africa and you have to put all your make up in your hand luggage into a small see through plastic sandwich container. If it doesn't fir then it is thrown away as you can only have one.
Try the links below for more info. The second one is really good for the liquids. The first one if you go to the TSA info... link then it then goes to a list where you can look at a list of prohibited goods.

basically don't bring any liquids. I've had eye drops, lip gloss and even mascara taken away. It's annoying how strict they're being (lip gloss :-( ) but its definitely necessary for safety purposes. I'd play it safe and not bring any liquids in your carry on.

Also tweezers and nail clippers

SAM.
You cant take scissors, nail clippers- basically anything sharp.

But now, you also cant take any liquids.

They have allowed to to bring liquid is=n small packages- under 100ml. you have to put them in a clear plastic baggie.
The baggie's contents can add up to only 1000ml. Nothing can be sticking out of the baggie.

the easiest thing is to CHECK YOUR BAG and only bring essentials for the flight, i.e. book and cell phone.
