It's allowed even to make a call from your cell phone on a plane when it's not taking off or landing!!!!!!!!!
So YES!!!!!!!!!!1

Hey,
I work for a major airline, and I used to be a flight attendant.

The answer is yes. While you are sitting on the plane, waiting to push back from the gate, you can still talk on your phone. As soon as the flight attendant closes the cabin door, then you must turn it off. After you have taken off, and reached an altitude of 10,000 feet, they will make an announcement saying that you can use all approved portable electronics.

Most airlines have a seat back magazine that tells what electronics are approved. Cell phones are approved if you are in "airplane mode." That means your phone won't send or try to receive a signal. It's perfectly fine to use it, however, just to listen to some Mp3's. Just be wary of when you are in final descent as you will have to stowe all electronics for landing.

The second the plane touches the runway, you are allowed once again to use your cell phones to make a call. Have a safe flight.

I would ask the flight attendants. I have a chocolate phone and had the same problem. Maybe they don't want them turned on because they could disrupt important signals that the plane uses. And even if you promised not to use the phone, there's no guarantee that you won't receive any calls from someone else. You can still use it before takeoff and after landing, though. Just ask, ok? Hope this helps!

cell phones and most electronics can be brought on the plane and have to be turned off during take off and landing.. but cell phones can't be used at all during flight.. laptops, mp3 players, and portable games are ok..-- ONLY WHEN INSTRUCTED!!!

so ur cell still can't be used during the flight... have a good trip

In this case, yes, you are allowed to bring phones and keep it on for music, but you mustn't make any calls whatsoever nor may you receive any calls. I am a Verizon user as well and I own a RAZR and there is this function called "Airplane Mode" which allows you to keep your phone on but kills all signal. Killing the signal means that you are obeying the laws of making no calls or receiving any. I am not sure what your phone is but all that I know is that the Motorolas all have an "Airplane Mode" or "Stand Alone Mode," which is the same thing. If you don't have any of these functions, then tell people who would usually call you to don't call you during times when you are on the plane.

I hoped this information helped.

You can have it with you, but turned off.

Yeah, you can bring it on the plane, but you must turn them off when the flight attendant asks you to and during landing and take off. I dont think you would be allowed to use v cast on the plane because as far as i know, V cast must connect to verizon first and you might not get service in the air.

If your phone has an airplane mode, you can listen to it on the plane.

You should be able to. Just don't make calls while you're on the plane.

Happy travels!
