Be sure to check some airlines directly. Some of the cheapest (like Southwest) don't show up on the travel sites like Travelosity or Expedia.

I agree with Krista that you should check out the airline websites. Sometimes they have specials the travel websites do not have. Also the low-cost airlines such as Southwest, JetBlue and AirTran do not partner up with a travel website. You need to go to the airline website directly.
