Jet Blue has good flights from time to time $69-99
Southwest has good flights $99
Frontier has good deals, get on their email list

JetBlue, Southwest, and AirTran are the three biggest low-fare carriers, also Spirit, ATA, Allegiant, and Frontier are others.
Keep in mind that these may not be the cheapest - for example, I live in Boston and I fly almost 100 times a year. However, I've only once flown JetBlue just because it's always more expensive. And I never really fly Southwest because it's also not that much cheaper, and plus they don't fly out of Boston - only Providence or Manchester, each an hour away - so it would cost me more to get to one of those airports than I would save by flying Southwest. So it is important to keep those things in mind.
Personally, I actually find the best fares on USAirways and many times on Delta or American as well. Also, book through the airline's website directly and not through Travelocity or one of those sites (they almost never have cheaper fares and they all charge fees so it's actually more to book through them). So I go to www.usairways.com or whichever airline has the best fares. |

I am flying Spirit out of Myrtle Beach to New York City the 2nd of August. The ticket, round trip, straight through flight for $220, which I think is a terrific price. I have heard SkyBlue airlines and Southwest both have good ticket fares. |
