I would highly recommend both hotwire and priceline, flycheapabroad, and bookairlinetickets.com. I've searched around for airfare quite a bit, and these three sites usually ring true as the cheapest. Other than that, I'd go to sites like igougo.com, travelzoo.com, kayak.com, and bookingbuddy.com. These sites offer searches of multiple online airfare websites, making it easier and less time consuming to compare prices. As for when to buy, I usually go to farecast.com. They pretty accurately predict when a good time to buy a flight would be based off of past and current trends, etc. It's pretty useful. Another site I've found handy is rightflight.org. They did a bunch of research on the various airfare sites to see which sites are usually the cheapest. They also have a list of most of the international airfare sites on their webpage (60+), which can be pretty handy in and of itself. Hope this helped! |

Depending on how many of you are going (due to availability) Id recommend getting a late deal.
Most travel agents will have good deals in shop windows and stuff BUT they are much cheaper online so don't forget to check high street travel agents websites for the best bargains.

For cheap longhaul holidays search for Portland Direct in google. Its a great site - Ive booked with them various times and had no problems with 2 fantastic holidays as results of it.

If you just want a holiday and are flexible on where you go you can get some cheap flights and holiday packages at Ebay in the Tickets and Travel section. Do a search for cheap flight or holiday and see what you find.
If you live in the US and want cheap flights then Priceline.com and Hotwire.com seem to be the cheapest. You can name your own price for the flight and usually you'll get it. Do a search on Travelocity or CheapOAir.com to get the average price for the flight and then go to Priceline.com to Name Your Own Price so your bid can be reasonable.
Other cheap flight sites include CheapOAir, Expedia, Travelzoo, Orbitz and cheapflightsaustralia.net.au. |
